The McGradys: The Growing Family

The difficulty of living miles apart
This is Katie McGrady. She’s nine years old and is the youngest daughter of Tim and Coral.

Tim and Coral fostered Katie in 2013 but it didn’t take long for them to realise that she was meant to be a part of the family and they adopted her.

Katie now has three older brothers who all adore her and welcomed her into the family with open arms. They are a true family unit.

There’s one problem: James, one of Katie’s older brothers, lives in Australia.

James met his wife in 2013 when he was working on a feature film. It was a whirlwind romance; he moved to Australia to live with her after a few months and was married the following year in Italy.

The whole family drove down to Italy for the wedding and loved every second of it. Katie was asked to be a flower girl taking her duties very seriously.
A new addition to the family
Since then the family has changed a little. James’ wife, Sammi, gave birth to Frankie in July 2016.

But they still live in Sydney and Katie and the rest of the family still live in Swindon.

Such a close-knit unit that have yet to meet their latest arrival so the McGrady’s decided it was time to change.

Sitting around their laptop in Swindon, the trio in Sydney hopped online and together they searched our site and booked their trip.

How would Katie feel about her first ever flight abroad to see her baby niece?
